Into the forest she walks,
Where trees are mighty and birds are safe.
She looks up and sees branches swaying in the wind,
Oh, what a dance they do.
No matter the wind,
They don’t give up.
They give in to the wind
Because if they don’t,
They break.
So must you, she thinks.
She continues down the path,
Watching birds nesting in the trees.
Trees give them comfort and don’t mind the guests.
They are stronger together, she thinks.
But she is her own tree,
Saving herself and building her own nest.
She shields herself when the weather is stormy.
She doesn’t know any other way,
But the forest is still her sanctuary,
So into the forest she runs.
